Update on Addie

Addison is okay. We had her appt this morning with the cardiologist ( Dr Lane @ Childrens is wonderful!) and they did an EKG and a ECHO on her heart. They found 3 different things wrong with her heart, 2 of which we don't have to worry about. The third involves some sort of membrane in heart that shouldn't be there, that she will probably outgrow and have no problems with. But because of where the membrane is located, the Dr wants us to come back every so often to have it checked out. He seems to think it will be no big deal, and she'll be just fine. But for some reason if she does have any issues with it, the surgery to fix it is very minor and normally people go on to live normal lives with this issue. So we go back in 3 months for another round of tests, and then find out then what we have to do next. But he did assure us that her problems are very minor and we shouldn't even worry about them. Treat her as if nothing is wrong is what he said, so that's what I'm going to try to do!
